You can select a time period of

between 15 and 180 minutes after

which the television automatically

switches to standby mode.

Press the SLEEP on the remote control.

Result:

If the sleep timer is... The screen displays a clock symbol and the...

Already set Time remaining before the television will be placed in

standby mode.

Not yet set Word “0”.

Press the SLEEP repeatedly until the appropriate length of time is displayed.

Result: The television is placed automatically in standby mode when the timer reaches 0.

To cancel the Sleep Timer function, press the SLEEP repeatedly until the word “0” is

displayed.

You can use your television to

watch pictures recorded on a:

◆ Video cassette recorder

◆ Camcorder

To connect different types of video

equipment to your television, use

the input connectors on the front

and rear panels (depending on the

model).

Refer to “Connections to the AV

Inputs” (page 17) for a description

of the various connection

possibilities.

Connect the AV cable as explained on

page 4.

Switch your television on.

Start playing the cassette on the VCR or

camcorder.

Result: The recorded pictures appear on

the television screen.

To watch television programmes while a

cassette is playing, press the TV on the

remote control.

Result: The most recently watched

channel is displayed.

To return to viewing the cassette, press the

VIDEO on the remote control.

Result

: The picture recorded on the VCR

or camcorder cassette is

displayed.
