Chapter 8 Measurements and Calculations

4. Use the trackball and the Set button to set a location for IMT measurement.

X Measure the length of a specic section. Press and hold the Set button at the starting point

and use the trackball to specify the end point.

X You can change the Near and Far positions of the measured area by using the Change button

on the control panel.

5. Once the measurement nishes, measurement values will be listed in a table.

6. Use the touch screen, or the dial-button to select the measurement label, the location of the

blood vessel, and the direction of blood ow.



Setting Up Measurement Items

On the touch screen menu, you may set up the measurement item, the location of the blood

vessel, and the direction of blood ow.

X

Measurement item: Select measurement items among CCA, Bulb, ICA, and ECA. Use the

touch screen button.

X

Direction: Select the blood ow direction either left or right. Use dial-button 2.

X

Location: Select Prox(Proximal), Mid(Middle), or Dist(Distal) as the location of the blood

vessel to measure. Use dial-button 3.

NOTE: Exit Auto IMT+ using following functions:

Change Image Mode and Zoom

X

Annotation, BodyMarker, Patient, SonoView, Report, Setup, Help



Measurement Result

X

Max: The maximum thickness of the Intima/Adventitia pair.

X

Mean: The average thickness of the Intima/Adventitia pair.

X

SD: Standard Deviation

X

QI: The distance ratio of the measured point in a distance for Quality Index measurement.

NOTE: Location of measurement result window cannot be changed and it is displayed in the

position established before Auto IMT+ measurement.
