Chapter 7 Diagnosis Modes



Needle Enhance

This feature only works when Needle Mate+ is on. Select 1, 2, 3, or 4 by tapping the button on

the touch screen to select the degree of needle enhancement.

X

1: The needle is thin with weak enhancement.

X

2: The needle is thin with strong enhancement.

X

3: The needle is thick with weak enhancement.

X

4: The needle is thick with strong enhancement.



Needle Angle

Needle Angle is a function to set the needle injection angle for ecient beam steering and

needle enhancement. Select one from either Shallow, Medium, or Steep.



DR (Dynamic Range)

Select a value between 30 and 256 by using the DR dial-button on the touch screen. The

Dynamic Range function adjusts contrast by changing the ratio of the minimum and maximum

values of the input signals. When this value increases, the image is displayed more smoothly.



Frame Average

Tap the Frame Average dial-button on the touch screen. Select a value between 0 and 9 by

using the dial-button on the touch screen. Use this to minimize the appearance of speckles in

updated images when the same location is scanned repeatedly.



Focus Number

Change the number of focus points at the target location you wish to study. Select a value

between 1 and 4 by using the dial-button on the touch screen.



Reject

Use the Reject dial-button on the touch screen to select a value between 0 and 30.

This function is used to eliminate noise or low level echo for clearer signals.



Image Size

Select a value between 70 and 100 by tapping the Image Size button on the touch screen.

Used to specify 2D image size.
