Cursor & Method
■
Line Marker Type
Specify the shape of the measurement cursor (caliper cursor) displayed on the screen. Either Cross
Hair or Arrow Head can be selected.
■
Circ. and area method
Specify how circumference and area are measured. Either Ellipse or Trace can be selected.
The selected method will appear rst when Caliper is clicked. Therefore, if a commonly used
method is specied, the measurement process becomes easier. For more information on Ellipse
and Trace, please refer to “Circumference and Area Measurement” in Chapter 5 “Measurements and
Calculations.”
Line Type
From the following three options, select the line pattern that you want to use for distance measurement.

Dotted Line
Shows a dotted line.
■
Hidden Dotted Line
Only shows the start and end points of a line.
■
Hidden Dotted line after Set
Shows a dotted line while a line is being drawn. When the Set button is pressed to complete the
drawing, the dotted line disappears.
Tips!
Selecting a line type
Selecting the Hidden Dotted Line or Hidden Dotted Line after Set option can prevent the displayed
image from being obstructed by the measurement line.
