Disinfection

NOTE: Use only recommended disinfectants on system surfaces.

For product disinfection, disinfectants qualied according to the U.S. FDA 510(k) process are

recommended. The following disinfectants are compatible (as qualied according to the FDA 510(k)

process) with Samsung Medison ultrasound products and are thus recommended:

1. Turn o and unplug the product.

2. Prepare a disinfectant based on the mix ratio specied in its user manual.

3. Apply it to product surfaces by following the instructions in its user manual.

4. Air dry or wipe with a dry cloth according to the instructions in its user manual.

Accuracy Check

NOTE: The user must ensure that safety inspections are performed every 2 years according to the

requirements of safety standard EN 60601-1. Only trained persons are allowed to perform these

safety inspections.

The measurements obtained using this product are aected by the product’s condition. Please make sure

to maintain the product in optimal condition in order to obtain reliable measurements.

To keep the product in optimal condition, an accuracy check should be performed annually. The equations

and tables related to measurement accuracy are listed in Chapter 5 “Measurements and Calculations” in

this manual.
