Volume Method
Specify an equation that will be used for volume calculation:
X 3 Distance: The volume is calculated using three diameters of longitudinal and transverse planes
(4 / 3 x π x A/2 x B/2 x C/2).
X 3 Distance x Factor: The volume value is calculated using three diameters of longitudinal and
transversal planes, and a factor (F) entered by the user (A x B x C x Factor).
X Ellipsoid: The volume is calculated using the lengths of the Main axis and the Beside axis (4 / 3 x
π x Main / 2 x (Beside / 2)2).
X Sum of 20 Disks: The volume is obtained by summing the areas of 20 parallel planes (d / 20 x (A1
+ A2 + ... A20), d: the sum of distances between disks).
NOTE: 3 Distances: A = 1st Dia. ; B = 2nd Dia. ; C = 3rd Dia.
The default factor value (F) is ‘0.523’. If it needs to be changed, a value between 0 and 1 (0 < factor
<= 100) is recommended.
Predicted PSA correction factor
Specify the predicted Prostate Specic Antigen (PAS) correction factor that is used to calculate the WG
and T-Zone volumes. The default value is 0.12.
