Chapter 3 Starting Diagnosis

Starting Exam
After selecting an exam, click Review Exam or Continue Exam on the screen. If the selected exam is
currently in progress, the button is disabled and shown as Current Exam.
NOTE: If the selected exam was conducted within the last 24 hours, the button in the lower left
corner is shown as Continue Exam. If it was conducted earlier than this, the button is shown as
Review Exam.

Continue Exam
In addition to the functionality provided by Resume Exam, it allows you to conveniently update
yesterday’s exam with the current scan.
It displays the selected exam on the screen, letting you perform scanning. The date on which each
exam was conducted for the rst time is also shown in the feedback area.
Double-clicking any of the saved images in the thumbnail area in the right hand side of the screen
retrieves the original image and displays the Stored Image Information. In the retrieved exam screen, a
variety of tasks such as taking measurements, typing text, or placing BodyMarkers and indicators can
be performed.

Review Exam
Displays the selected exam on the screen. Double-clicking any of the saved images in the thumbnail
area in the right hand side of the screen retrieves the original image and displays Stored Image
Information along with the initial exam date for the selected exam. In the retrieved exam screen, a
variety of tasks such as taking measurements, typing text, or placing BodyMarkers and indicators can
be performed.
Viewing Exam
After selecting an exam, click Review on the screen. The system will switch to the SonoVi-ew
SONOVIEW screen.
NOTE: For information on using SonoViewSONOVIEW, please refer to Chapter 6 ‘Image
Management.’
